School Records

Enrolment number398 at South Riana State School, admitted on 2 July 1928 by his father William (sic) a farmer from South Riana living ½ mile from the school. He left school on 14 May 1937 as he was over age.

 

Military Records

Service number T28177 Gunner  6th Field Rgt.  Enlisted in Penguin on 7 October 1941, giving his next of kin as his father William (sic) Walter Good of South Riana. He stated that he was an unmarried farmer. He was marched into camp on 4 November 1941 and a month later was hospitalized with influenza. In December of that year he was granted leave for Harvest for 2 months. He was then transferred to Area 50 as a Farm Hand and finally discharged in March 1942. His total service numbered 79 days – all in Australia.
