in 1974 in Launceston and is buried at Carr Villa Cemetery in Launceston.

#259 at South Riana, enrolled by his father Harold Thomas of South Riana, a labourer living 3 miles from the school on 31 January 1922. He began in Prep in that year, with his brother Peter Aubrey. In 1923 he was in Grade I and in 1924 Grade II and 1925 he was in Grade II (perhaps to consolidate), 1926 III and 1927 V. He left in December 1927 as he was over age.

Military Records

Service number TX15553, he enlisted on 12 August 1943 at Adelaide River N.T. His next of kin was wife Elsie. He was discharged on 4 December 1944, a private in the 31st Company Australian Army Services Corps.   His file is not yet digitised.
