Enrolment number 306 at South Riana by George Clarke, his father from South Riana living 2 miles from the school and admitted on 21 January 1924. He left school on 14 December 1929.

Military Records

Service number T28694, enlisting at Penguin 26 January 1942, and was placed as a Private in the 12 Field Ambulance. He was described as 5’8” with brown hair and blue eyes. His next of kin was listed as Amy Aurial his wife. After initial training and serving in Tasmania for over a year, he was transferred to Townsville and then to the N.T. where he stayed for 8 months from June 1943 to Feb 1944. He was discharged on 23 Feb 1944 as a ‘farm hand’ (a Reserved Occupation). His active service time was 631 days – all in Australia.
